Cheshire Homes South Africa

Soweto Cheshire Home is one of the three homes that provides integrated services to persons with disabilities, both adult and children. The home was opened in 1989 in a less than average plot of ground with an old 4-bedroomed house. Today the home has twenty (20) bedrooms and five (5) high-quality independent living apartments, a hi-tech call centre that employs 10 people with disabilities on above-average salaries. A new early childhood development centre and a modern administration block is near completion.

Services at the Soweto Cheshire Home are beneficiary driven. Our most cherished objective is to assist residents to become independent and productive members of their families, their community and the country as a whole.
